Filling the Gaps in Your Smile

Missing teeth can ruin your smile, while also keeping you from properly speaking and chewing. Lost teeth also may alter the shape of your face itself! At Moore-Berry Dentistry Inc, we can professionally place dental bridges, filling in the gaps caused by missing teeth.

Learn About Dental Bridges

Bridges are dental prosthetics that "bridge" the gap in your smile created by missing teeth. They are created through crowns placed on either side of the gap on your healthy teeth. Next, an artificial tooth is attached between the two crowns, replacing the missing tooth.

Benefits of Bridges

  • Correcting a misaligned bite
  • Enhancing the appearance of your smile
  • Filling out the natural shape of your face
  • Helping you to chew and speak properly
  • Prevent neighboring teeth from becoming misaligned
Many types of bridges are available, such as traditional, cantilever and Maryland-bonded. Our own Dr. Brent Moore and Dr. Joshua Berry are highly experienced when it comes to dental prosthetics and will determine which type of bridge is the right choice for you.

Long-Lasting Bridges

The placement of a dental bridge will take at least two office visits. In your first visit, the healthy teeth are prepared for the dental crowns and an impression of the area is created. These impressions are sent to a lab to create your own custom bridge and crowns.

It should take 2-3 weeks for the bridge to come back from the lab. During this time, you can wear a temporary bridge.

At your second visit, the temporary bridge is replaced by your permanent one. Your new bridge may require multiple follow-up visits to be adjusted and properly placed as needed. Temporary cement can be used to apply the bridge if you'd like, allowing you to try different fits until you are satisfied.

With proper care, your bridge can last for up to 15 years. Contact us today to schedule an appointment or consultation. If we miss your call, you'll hear back from us the same business day. Convenient after-hours appointment are also available, so we can better fit into your busy schedule.
